Yatsugatake
Yatsugatake mountain range has large variety of the scenery, the length and the difficulty of the trekking route. You can choose from day hikes for beginners to traverse with overnight stay in mountain huts. And northern part of the mountain range is also known as a place for snowshoeing and crampons beginners.
The mountain was formed by volcanic activity and the lower part is covered with conifer forest with many kinds of moss on the rocks.
